One of the best colleges ever. They have many programs that will help you succeed. They even have books in the library that you can use to study if you don’t have your course textbooks on hand. Great advisors my advisor when I went to Medgar was Ms. Glenda W……… They make sure students graduate before time and on time. They offer many things. It was a virtual graduation . Dr. Lashley knows we well . I even won my traveling suitcase from them now I’m throwing it out it has water damage

Lacks organization and common courtesy. A close friend of mine just paid 1500 for a single Bio 1 class. Once she paid she was emailed 2 days later stating the section she applied to for that course was canceled and now she can't take the same class with them because every other available time is early morning, and she works. The email said nothing about a refund(SHE WANTS HER ADMISSION FEE) too. Even worse nobody has reached out she has to call and get in contact herself. And it's already well known that the staff who answer the phones are little help and just try to pass you on to someone else if they can. Or they simply won't know how to help you. Unbelievable, how these expensive organizations give the worst assistance ever, but they take your money so quickly.

Admissions office has one particular person who is very rude and she doesn't really help or guide you through the process. She does not make an already stressful transition any easier.(she sits furthest from the door.In front of the kiosk)
Admissions also has another woman who is GREAT at her job she is helpful and very pleasant.
Bursar's office Ali needs to get off his phone when dealing with incoming students.Sometimes we don't know what to ask. But if you have your head phones in and give little to no eye contact it gives off the feeling that you are bothering these people even though they are at work.
-IT department is good. The staff in their are very personal able and helpful!

Stay away if you can. The lack of organization, communication, & professionalism is horrible. The only positive experience I’ve gotten from this school is from the ASAP program. The administration have such a bad unprovoked attitude it’s disgusting how they treat the students of their community.

This college is the worst. The real estate course is the worst by far. Someone said "Most professors expect you to read the textbook and get the material on your own without teaching or bother to answer your question" This is true. I wouldn't had paid $500 to just read a dam book. I could do that home and not waste my $500 and then go take the state exam. The only thing I'm told is read the book or you wont pass. Why the school just don't charge for the book and give the 75 hrs. No they charge you $500 for you to be told to just read the book and then you have to take exam after the class; which is harder than the state exam and its unfair. Most people in the class are working people and don't have time to read an entire book. I know its our responsibility and we will, but why make the school exam harder then the state exam. This why the school do not have a high rate of people passing the class for REAL ESTATE. If anyone is thinking about taking the R.E class, I would think twice. I would go to another school. Until they change the policy here, no one will really pass. Students will have to take it twice or pay again and its unfair.

Something need to be done. Actually teach and not just have us by a book dam near $60 to tell us just read. Then the school exam harder than the state. Most of the stuff you learn as you go and hands on. I hope someone from the school get on top of this.

Honestly this school is a miss. Some professors are really helpful and caring. They bring life to their classrooms and others just care about their checks. Most professors expect you to read the textbook and get the material on your own without teaching or bother to answer your question.. Not only that but a lot of the staff miss paper work. I had to hand in my loan paperwork twice because someone at the financial aid office misplace my documents. Also, my courses were drop because I didn’t pay my tuition when in fact I paid months in advance and had to switch my class around last minute! Thank god this is my last semester so I can transfer to a different college and leave Medgar behind. This is a place to start not end it’s really not worth the money or headache at this school.

The entire office (registrar & admission) every department at medgar is unorganized and lack any sense or care and urgency towards students applying . I’ve been calling these people and asking questions about the class I applied for and they’ve yet to help me . Paid my money and they just sent me off. No explanation on the process of getting into the class I needed. All I got was attitudes and unanswered phone lines.

SO DISORGANIZED. I received my first and second shots here and I brought my father here to get his this year and the experience EVERY time was great. They were incredibly professional and efficient THEN. THIS TIME Their system was inefficient and didn't take into account people with compromised mobility. The staff didn't communicate with each other well and that resulted in patients being directed and misdirected to multiple stations. I really hope they go back to the well-oiled machine they were in the beginning.
